Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.

Mother Tersea

We are creating a culture of generosity at the Bridge of Hope. If we are to accomplish the mission that God has given us – we need to be generous with our resources and our time. Our motive must be pure also. We are not expecting anything back, but we give to show people that God loves them.

Servanthood is lived out as a lifestyle, not a program. It’s more than short-term mission trips or volunteering at homeless shelters. Those are life-transformational experiences, but different than a lifestyle. In the same way that it seems harder sometimes to talk to your own family about Jesus, we often find it’s easier to serve outside our own neighborhoods.

We need to shift that paradigm. We must reach out and meet needs on a regular basis – so will do things like food drives and give food away on a monthly basis. We will work towards doing it on a weekly basis.

We will also do service projects in our community. We will look for ways to help people in need in practical ways. Like cleaning gutters, mowing yards, planting flowers and fixing things around the house.

We will also do community connect events. These will be events that gather people together for fun and connecting to people who do not know the Lord.  Events like Block Parties, BBQ Blast, Tailgate Parties, Family Movie Nights, Community Dances, etc.
